Welcome to St Mary's
Our school aims to foster a Christian, caring ethos in which children thrive by celebrating achievement and making sure they feel valued and secure. We treat our children as individuals and our curriculum aims to enrich the whole child. All children are taught to respect others and they are provided with exciting learning opportunities, standards and the expectations of behaviour are high. Our value this term is Justice.
At St Mary’s we believe that Christian principles underpin everything we do as a school. We want our children to grow up in a school underpinned by the Christian values of love, friendship and respect. These values are the core for all we do at St Mary’s and we believe these key Christian values enable our children to flourish.
Our Christian Vision
Our vision here at St Mary's is underpinned by our motto ‘Believe and Achieve’, this encourages the children to not only believe in themselves but also to believe in God, the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Through this faith in themselves and God we believe all children can fulfil their potential to be the best they can be. We encourage our children to fly. The scriptures of Isaiah provide the basis for our motto and why we think our children can flourish under God.
But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40 v 31)
Our school Curriculum provides our children with the opportunities to flourish in an ever-changing world. We have worked hard to create a curriculum that will have an impact on our children not just in terms of their attainment but as individuals and citizens of the future. More information can be found on our Curriculum pages. Our Curriculum overview
We operate an 'open door' policy and you should always feel welcome. If you would like to come and see us, we would be delighted to show you around the school and answer your questions. We look forward to meeting you in the near future.
