Hi Class 4,
We hope that you have had a good few days. The weather has been very kind to us again. I am trying to get fit by running the Couch to 5k with my son which is still going pretty well considering how hot it is! We have also been baking, making dens and going on long walks which has been fun. We hope you are still managing to keep on top of a few hours of home learning a day. Remember to listen to your parents!

Remember it is Mental Health week, try to be kind to yourself. Make sure that you find some time for yourself- try doing something you enjoy. I have been doing lots of Art this week. It is important that we all look after ourselves and each other at these difficult times! Miss D x

I would like you to write a character description of the Shoemaker. I would like you to think about the way that the character looks and how he behaves. What personality traits can you see from the clip, which ones do you think he might have? When writing you description I would like you to think carefully about cohesion. I want you to link your character description with the setting description that your wrote on Monday.
Please try to use the following sentence level features: -adverbial phrases -relative clauses -personification -powerful verbs and adjectives

| Science | I have a simple experiment for you to do this week based on our topic Light. We have looked at what happens when a light source gets closer to an object but what happens when the light source is the Sun? Place an item in a sunny position (like a pencil stuck in blu-tac))and draw around the shadow it creates every hour of the day. What do you notice happening? can you explain it? Think about our work on the Sun during our Earth and Space unit. Send me some photos to put on the website please.
