Bathing Ralph!
Today Ralph came to visit us and we all got to work as a team to give him a relaxing bath. We were very gentle and learned more about caring for a dog as we bathed him. Ralph shook off the water on his coat and soaked us!
The Tiger that Came to Tea!
We decorated our own tiger biscuits for our tiger tea party! We used our fine motor skills to squeeze the icing pen and spread the orange icing. We hope the greedy tiger doesn't gobble, munch and scoff them!
Grouping and Sharing
In maths this week we have been looking at division. Today we were sharing objects into equal groups and writing number sentences to match.
Computing
This week we have been exploring the micro:bits. We have been able to create simple code that have given different outputs on the LED screen.
A new run
The Guinea pigs and rabbits have loved their new run this week. Lots of space for them to run around and enjoy being at St Mary’s.

Excitingly, we have had some new pets at St.Mary’s. We have had fun at lunchtime playing with the rabbits and Guinea pigs in their new outdoor run.
Rescuing the animals that were stuck in the muck!
Today we rescued animals that were stuck in the muck. We explored the mucky cornflour and saved the animals that were stuck in the muck. The muck was squelchy! Slurp, suck, squelch!
An oi treasure hunt in phonics!
Today we had to search for lots of oi words in the sand and read them! We also discovered some words with other digraphs and trigraphs hidden in them and some sentences to read! We collected and arranged the coins on tens frames to see how many we had read as a team!
Making butter!
We poured think double cream into a jar and turned it into butter by shaking it as fast as we could as a team! We needed our strong muscles to shake the cream inside the jar. The buttermilk separated from the big lump of yellow butter inside the jar. We tried the creamy butter on some soft bread…
DT Playgrounds
In DT we have been learning all about playground equipment. Today we made and evaluated our own models. It was not an easy task and the children showed lots of resilience. Well done !
