Image of Forests school fun in Spring term

We have already had a super busy Spring term with our Outdoor Learning at St Mary’s. The children have been caring for our amazing outdoor environment by helping to plant over 100 trees. They have enjoyed exploring in nature and have found lot’s of wildlife from fantastic frogs to wiggly worms.

There has been lot’s of creativity and it’s lovely to see how much fun the children have taking part in outdoor art activities. Year 5 showed amazing creativity with their clay tree spirits. Class 1 always enjoy painting in different ways including a group painting on clingfilm and on nature itself with their super stick painting.

Our time outside has allowed the children to develop their team building and gross motor skills through using the large construction and den building equipment. They are impressively imaginative with their outdoor role play and Class 1 love to explore our fairy garden.

The mud kitchen is always very popular but alongside the fun and messy mud the children are also developing their creativity, gross and fine motor skills and imaginative play.
