Mass and Capacity
In Maths we have started a new unit on mass and capacity. Today we revised our prior learning to ensure that we remembered all of the key skills and vocabulary that we have already learnt. Miss Lukat was very impressed!
Sketching 2
Today we sketched some natural items we found in our school grounds. We used a variety of techniques we have learnt this half term including hatching, cross hatching, stippling and shading.
World Book Day 2024
We enjoyed reading and writing Limericks as part of our World Book Day activities.

Converting measures
In maths we have been learning how to convert millimetres, centimetres and metres. Today, we measured the height of each child in Class 3 and converted metres into centimetres and compared our heights.
Anglo-Saxon baking
Today we have been learning about the diet of the Anglo-Saxons. We learnt that they hunted for and grew their own food. We also learnt that sugar cane had not yet reached Europe, so they used honey and dried fruit to sweeten their food. We made honey shortbread - it was delicious!
Visit from Reverend Neale
Today we enjoyed talking to Reverend Neale. We asked him lots of questions about his role in the church and about his day-to-day roles. Thank you for taking the time to visit us!
Dodgeball Tournament
We had a fantastic time taking part in our TSSMAT dodgeball tournement today. We all tried our hardest and worked brilliantly with our teams. Thank you to Mr Challinor for organising the event - we can't wait for the next one!
Circuits
This week have learnt about electrical circuits in our science lesson. We identified the key components needed to make a simple circuit and worked in teams to create a circuit to light a bulb / lamp.
