French Cafe
This term in French, the children have been learning the names of food and drinks practising transactional language to buy food from a French cafe. Yesterday they took part in French cafe role plays which impressed Madame Stevens very much! Trés bien!
We have been creating our own mini beast books!
Class one created their own mini beast books. They drew pictures and used their phonics skills to write initial sounds, words and sentences. We have learnt so many interesting facts about mini beasts!
Parachute Fun
In PE today we got the parachute and played a game about pirates in the sunshine.
Modern Sculpture in Class 4…..
In Class 4 today we have been creating some ‘Modern Sculptures’. We have used foil to create sculptures of people and animals. We had lots of fun doing these and we think they are very effective… what do you think?
Outdoor Learning Day
Class 2 had a fantastic day on our outdoor learning day. We had a maths themed day where we looked at height and length, mass, capacity and position and direction. It was lovely to welcome our friends from Richard Crosse and have the opportunity to learn and play with them.
Self portrait sneak peek…
We have been drawing self portraits in the style of Frieda Kahlo this week. The final result will be revealed at the Art Gallery next week!
Art Day
Today we have been getting ready for our art gallery. We have used terracotta clay to make pinch pots. We are looking forward to adding some colour when they dry, watch this space!
We had a super visit with Bob from the Lichfield Litter Legends!
We learnt so much about caring for the environment with Bob from the Lichfield Litter Legends! We heard his story of Lennie the Litter Legend! We helped to litter pick the school grounds and keep our school tidy! We were so responsible! Well done class one!

Finding a quarter of a quantity
In maths Year 1 have been learning about fractions, looking at halves and quarters. Today we used the part whole model to help us work out a quarter of a quantity.
Greenpower Race Day…..
Today we competed in the GreenPower Race Day. We had so much fun racing in the slalom, drag and relay races. The children were amazing and were wonderful ambassadors for our school. I am very proud of them all and we even managed to winner a trophy for “Best and most sustainable bodywork”.
