Wednesday 15th July

Hello Class One,

This week our learning is around the story of How Many Legs! We will have some activities themed around the story, animals and lots of opportunities for maths learning this week.

I hope you have a super week learning around the story and I can’t wait to see your amazing learning! Please send me a photo and a message about the things you have been learning and getting up to at home.

Parents remember to do what you can (2 hours throughout the day is plenty- this doesn’t need to be all in one go!) Continue to learn lots more through your own play too.

Watch the story here

Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmUY5bXkVKQ Talk about how many legs you can see throughout the book? Can you count them all? What animals would you invite for tea? How many legs would there be then?

Literacy-

Nursery and Reception

Can you design and write your own party invite so that you can send it to some guests for your tea party?  Who is the invite for? When will it happen? What food will there be?

Now maybe you can create some decorations, food and dress up for a tea party!

Continue to practice your letter formation

I have recorded a letter formation video for you to help you develop your letter formation at home. It’s quite long so you may want to just practice a few letters at a time. I hope it helps! When you open the link, it can be slow loading. Wait a while and it should start to work.

It is super to hear about how this is helping lots of you with your letter formation!
