Today in RE we learnt more about Easter and our big question ‘why do Christians put a cross in an Easter garden?’
We watched the Super Cool Story of Jesus and discussed the events in the Easter story. We talked about how the events made Jesus, the people, his friends and us feel. We used some amazing vocabulary for example; heartbroken. We sorted pictures into happy and sad events in the Easter story and we explained our thinking some more. We also learnt more about why the cross is an important symbol to Christian people and what it means to Christian people. We looked at different crosses, made our own using different materials and then we looked at (and tasted!) hot cross buns to end our learning today!
Class one are flying like eagles with their understanding of Christianity and Easter!
