Today we enjoyed reading the story of Oliver's Fruit Salad. We made predictions, discussed the story and talked about our own experiences, likes and ideas for recipes Oliver could try out with the fruit. We all showed brilliant behaviour as we listened and participated in story time. Then we made our own fruit salad for snack time! We talked about the importance of food hygiene through hand washing, prepared the fruit, safely used the equipment to chop the fruit and then when it was ready we ate it outside with our friends on the picnic blanket. This is what some of the children said about their fruit salads. "It was mouth watering!" "It was good!" "It was delicious" "It was sticky and my hands are sticky!"
