We used our home grown ingredients to prepare vegetable tart with Chef Alex! We safely used the knives to chop the vegetables, cracked eggs and sprinkled cheese onto the pastry cases. We visited the Horti Hub and had a look to see what was growing! We found tomatoes, leeks, carrots, sweet corn and lots more foods! We picked shiny tomatoes and long leeks as a team. We washed them and got them ready for some cooking with Chef Alex!

We used amazing communication skills to order at the tuck shop today! We were responsible as we looked after our money and also very respectful, using super manners as we ordered our snack. 

We used strawberries and juices to created ice lollies to enjoy in this beautiful weather! We looked at the changes over time and described them “sticky!” “It is melting.” “Delicious!”

We have been busy painting a peg doll of ourselves ready to use in self registration. We used the appropriate colours and painted our dolls very carefully. We have used super creativity today! 

Today we visited the library bus right outside our school! We each picked a book to bring back to class! We all showed excellent responsibility, used super manners and were very friendly to everyone we met along the way. Well done Reception!

Today we tried out dancing with scarves to a song that made us dance! This was a great way to build the strength, muscles and control in our shoulders and arms! Afterwards we did lots of fantastic mark making!

We enjoyed taking part in some relaxing yoga to end our first day at school! Some of the yoga positions were tricky but we showed perseverance and we all took part as a team! 

We have had a super time creating our own treasure maps today! We added all of the places that we will visit along the way as we hunt for treasure. We used clear sentences and positional language to talk about the route we will take. We made the maps look old by staining them with coffee and…

We worked in two teams to follow the map and find the hidden treasure! We worked as a team, cooperated, communicated well, used lots of super positional language and had so much fun finding the treasure!
