Getting Creative
In Class 2 we have been creating art work in our independent writing journals. In English we have based our writing around the letters from story ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ by Drew Daywalt.
Dance and drama show
Year 2 performed superbly in this half terms dance and drama show. We have some extremely talented children!

Underwater Food Chains
Today in science Class 2 have been learning about food chains in watey habitats. They got creative and made their own underwater scenes.
Tim Peake Fact Finding
In our English lesson today we were working in groups to research information about the astronaut Tim Peake. We found out lots of interesting facts and are going to use these tomorrow to write a fact file about him.
Making Arrays
In maths today Year 2 having been using the apparatus to make multiplication arrays. They then went onto write repeated addition and multiplication sentences.
PE - All about our breathing
In our PE session today with Stoke City FC Class 2 have been working as a team to complete circuits. We then explored how physical exercise effects our breathing.
Space Sculpture
Today in art Class 2 made space themed tiles out of clay using the slab method.
Planning a diary entry
In English today the children are planning a diary entry using time conjunctions. We are basing our writing on the book ‘Man on the Moon’ by Simon Bartram - A day in the life of Bob. Here our Year 1 children are doing some fantastic independent writing.
Multiplication Fun
In maths today our Year 2 children have been using manipulatives to make equal groups. They also had a go at writing the multiplication sentence to match.
