Orchestra instruments
Today we’ve been learning about different instruments you might find in an orchestra. We learned about the instruments, sorted them and then played guess the instrument. Great concentration when concentrating to the music Class 2!
Coding
This afternoon we all logged into the laptops and chrome books to trying coding. It took a lot of perseverance and resilience but we all had a go and managed to complete the first programme.
Knots of fun!
We had lots of fun in outdoor learning this week. We were using the tyre swing and practising knots. Next week will be the final outdoor learning group.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit
We retold the tale of Peter Rabbit using the school’s vegetable patch instead of Mr McGregor’s. Excellent creativity!
Summer french
We’ve started learning about the summer in french. We talked about the seasons food we eat in the summer and the weather. Thank you for another great french lesson Madame Elliott. Good patience and resilience Class 2!
Weighing with scales
This morning Year 2 have been weighing using balance scales. We placed objects in one side of the scales and weights in the other side to work out how heavy each object is and record it. Great teamwork!
Reading in the sun!
We took guided reading outside this afternoon and read our books in the sun. E were reading about sea creatures and plants.
Water bottles
Our dishwasher is broken at the moment, please could you send a water bottle into school with your child. Thank you for your support.
Oi!
Year 1 have been revising the ‘oi’ sound in phonics. Can you think of any words using the ‘oi’ or ‘oy’ spelling? There are some phonics activities and resources on our class page, please have a look at them and practise the phonics sounds at home.

Gardening fun in the sun!
Today we watered and weeded the class’ vegetable patch and the school’s raised beds. We had lots of stops to drink and sit in the shade.
