Class 2

Class 2 enjoyed eating their picnics in the park today. Luckily the sun came out while we were the.

Class 2 had lots of fun this afternoon. We listened to Queen - We Will Rock You. Then we talked about pulse and found the pulse of some songs. We clapped and used our bodies to show the pulse. After that we added xylophones and other instruments. 

We’ve had a lot of fun gardening today! We have finally harvested all of the onions. Some of them are huge. We look forward to eating them in our lunches. 

Today Year 2 were showing Year 1 how to measure in ml,l, g and kg. We weighed vehicles and measured how heavy they are by adding up the weights. We also measured out amounts of water accurately into containers. 

Today we read the owl and the pussycat in whole class reading. We worked in groups to perform the poem to the class and thought about how we could use instruments in our performances. Great creativity and teamwork!

Some of Class 2 have had a fun afternoon on the laptops while the others have been outdoor learning. We’ve been coding using code.org 

We needed a lot of resilience for this task! 

On Tuesday 13^th July, Class 2 will have a picnic day as part of their Design and Technology topic this half term. We will prepare picnics that we have designed in the morning. Then we walk to the park to enjoy our picnics and play on the equipment. The picnic will replace our free school dinner…

What a brilliant sports day we have had! Well done Class 2. We missed parents watching us but we all took part and had an excellent morning. 

We were learning outdoors this morning using the water tray. We chose measurements in ml and used the water to fill our flasks and jugs. We even managed to say dry. Great teamwork! 

We had some much fun in PE today. We practised batting, throwing and catching by playing a game of rounders. Great sportsmanship guys!
