Today in maths Year 1 have been practising their number formation in our outdoor area.
Holi Day
Today we learnt about the Hindu Festival Holi Day, the Festival of Colour . We made a Holi Day decoration.

Weather Patterns
In geography today we become meteorologists and presented the weather for the United Kingdom.
Addition with an exchange
In maths today Year 2 have been adding two digit numbers together with an exchange. This is a new concept for Year 2 so the apparatus has supported their understanding. Well done!
Fruit kebabs!
We chopped up to 10 pieces of fruit and placed them on a tens frame! Then we created a fruit kebab! We ate them before the Hungry Caterpillar could!
Wall Roman Site
We had a fantastic time at Wall Roman Site today. We learnt about the discovery of the site, what it would have been during the Roman times and also got to handle some Roman artefacts!
The life cycle of a butterfly.
Reception and nursery have been learning about the life cycle of the butterfly. Reception read and matched sentences and words to the part of the life cycle. They then wrote about the lifecycle in their books.

Spring has sprung!
We have spotted some more signs of Spring today in our outdoor areas. We are looking forward to seeing more daffodils blooming soon!
