We worked together to read Mr Wolf’s pancake recipe to make the pancake batter.

We used some amazing sentences and vocabulary to describe the batter. It is gooey! Sloppy! Runny! 

We have enjoyed shaping and moulding play dough to create pancakes for Mr Wolf. We wrote postal addressed and labels to them postal pancakes to him!

Our new PE topic is orienteering. We spent some time familiarising ourselves with compass directions and creating our own maps of the school grounds. We were curious about how a compass works so we learnt more about the earth’s magnetic field and even made our own compass in class!

Today one of our Year 1 children had a go at being the teacher and helped his friends with their words. Ms Stretton might be out of a job !

In art this week we have been designed a space themed tile: Today we used our design to make our tile out of clay. 

This afternoon we had a visit from Leo who did  an animation workshop with us. We learnt all about his career in animation and the characters and films that he has created. We then had a go at creating faces, putting together a scene and drawing Archie the dog. 

We have been working very hard in Class 4 this week creating out tree sketches and landscape sculptures. I think that they are stunning- I hope you agree! We will be showing them in worship on Friday if you would like to come along and have a look. 
 

We used a variety of shapes and arranged them into mini beasts! We used loose parts to decorate the table and make it look like a garden habitat.

We have being using our one, two, three and four point balances our our gym equipment this week. We had a great time and I think that the children did an amazing job.

In maths today we used our number bonds to10 to help us with our addition to the next multiple of 10. We looked for the number bond to 10 ‘the two numbers that love each other’ to help us work out the addition. Well done Year 2! 

In art today we got creative and had great fun painting our coil pots.
