Minibeast Hunt
This week we have been learning about mini beasts. We found so many around school including slugs, beetles, worms, ants, bees, spiders and earwigs!
Spot the suffix
In English we have been looking at The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. We have been exploring the difference in the language as the story was first published in 1902. Today we worked with a partner to spot the suffixes in the text.

Today in maths Year 1 have been cutting bread and pancakes into quarters, understanding that a 1/4 is one of four equal parts.

In maths today Year 1 have been learning to recognise a quarter. They made pizzas and shared them equally into four parts.
Schools Swimming Gala
We had a fantastic time at the schools swimming gala.
All swimmers swam well and the team spirit and encouragement for each other was phenomenal.
