Butterfly excitement in English
Lots of excitement in English today, two of our butterflies emerged from their chrysalises during the lesson.
We are excited to see the other three emerge.
Anyone peckish
Our lettuce has been grown from seed and today was used for our school dinners. Yummy!
Class 2’s Caterpillars
In Class 2 we have enjoyed watching our caterpillars grow. Today they are beginning to turn into a chrysalis.
Multicultural Day
We loved working with the older children on Multicultural Day. We worked hard to create our own mehndi designs in Class 1.
Multi-cultural Day (Tiki Masks)
This week we had a fantastic day learning about different countries and their cultures. In our group we found out about the ancient Hawaiian tradition of Tiki Masks. I think that you would agree they are amazing!
Caterpillars - thank you PTA and Miss Wood!
Thank you to Miss Wood and the PTA for buying each class some caterpillars. We are so excited to watch them transform over the next few weeks!
GreenPower Racing
This week in Class 4 we competed in the GreenPower Race Day.
We behaved impeccably, supported each other and most of all had great fun!
(plus we brought back and trophy for our amazing portfolios!
Conjunction Conundrum
In English we have been basing our work on The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. Today we were working with a partner to match two clauses with the correct conjunction.
Telling the time
Today in maths today our Year 2 are using concrete resources to help the work out the time past the hour.
Creative Collage
In art this half term we are looking at colour and collage. Yesterday we sketched a bird and today we used a variety of magazines and newspapers to choose and add colour to our pictures.
