Sunflower fun!
Today we have been exploring sunflowers. We cut down the sunflowers that had grown over the summer in our garden and explored them. We hammers them, used tweezers to pinch seeds out of the flower head, made sunflower soup and potions and created sunflowers with paint and loose parts!
Counting within 10
In maths today we were practicing counting within 10. We learnt that the last number you say is how many you have altogether. Year 1 had an outdoor maths challenge whereby they had to work in pairs and count the number of different objects .
Teddy Bears Picnic
Class 2 had a fantastic time at their Teddy Bears Picnic today. Our furry friends enjoyed their lunch too.
Decorating Biscuits
In Class 2 today we decorated a biscuit ready for our ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ tomorrow.
Perfect Picnics
In D and T we have been learning all about picnics. We have learned about food that is farmed, grown and caught and all about healthy eating. Today we made fruit kebabs based on our designs that we did in a previous lesson.
An amazing time in Borth comes to an end….
We have had the most wonderful time in Borth. Thank you to Mrs Douglas and Miss Wood for coming with us and making our last residential at St.Mary’s even more special!

Although it has been a washout weather day we have still managed to have loads of fun!
Making fruit ice lollies!
We have been chopping fruit and mixing juice and water to create ice lollies! We need to freeze them and then we can enjoy them at snack time tomorrow. We have talked about and predicted the changes that might happen to the liquid and used super maths noticing along the way.
