Mud kitchen fun!
We are enjoying using different natural resources and enhancements in our mud kitchen area.
Today we stewed tea bags to make strong cups of steaming hot tea! Everyone was invited to the cafe to enjoy a cup!
Building our gross motor skills!
We have been rolling, racing and stacking tyres and cable reels! What a great way to build our gross motor skills, shoulder movement, strength and muscles!
Matching!
We can match! In maths we have been looking at things that are the same, alike and match. We also know when things are different and do not match!
Reception have started their monster phonics missions with the s sound!
Today reception have learned more about the s sound. We practiced forming s in sand, writing it in our books, looking at s initial sounds and alliteration with the s sound!
Understanding 10
Today the children are working in pairs to work out how many different ways they make ten using concrete resources.
Charcoal
This week, we have been exploring charcoal. We have been experimenting with different techniques to create light and shadow.
Class 4 Spelling- ‘Shus’ ending
In Class 4 we have been exploring the ‘Shus’ ending. We have learnt the spelling rule, discovered words to follow the rule and have had fun learning them in exciting ways.

In art this half term we are going to be learning g about the life and work of Josiah Wedgwood. Today we looked at some of his pottery and sketched features of our favourite pieces.
Story Time in Class 2
Today one of Year 2 children read the story to the Class. She chose the Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson.
Dear Zoo
In English today we looked at different zoo animals in groups. We had to think about how our animal moved? What it looked like and how it sounded? As a class we had to decide which animal we thought it was.
