Hello Class 3!
We're at the start of another week! I had a very chilled weekend talking to all my family members on video calls which was lovely! I also had a go at sewing a neckerchief for my mom's dogs (I need a lot more practice before either dog would want to wear them!) I've enjoyed trying to learn to do something different. Have you learnt to do anything different?
Below you will find Monday's work. Start the day with something active like Joe Wicks at 9am or go onto Super Movers.
Please remember 2 hours a day is plenty of work.

English |
I'd like to focus on grammar this week and using our English skills correctly. Today we are going to look at conjunctions and using different types of conjunctions in your writing. In the documents below you will find word mats, powerpoints to help you understand how you use different conjunctions and two worksheets for you to complete. There will also be activities on Education City. I would also love it if you could write your own sentences with conjunctions (subordinating and coordinating). Your sentences can be about anything you like - maybe you could write about what you have been doing whilst being at home or what you are going to do when you are no longer at home. Reading |
Please complete the comprehension activity below. There is a sheet to read then questions to answer. Please pick a level (at the bottom of the page you will see a number of stars - the levels get more difficult with the number of stars). Year 4s should pick either 2 star or 3 star. Class 3 Reading 04-05Make sure you are also reading books you have at home and get your parents to ask you questions about what you have read.

Topic |
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zxfrwmn/articles/zhjxt39 Please watch and read the information on the website above- all about Food Chains. Once you have watched and read the information. Can you write a paragraph all about what you have learnt in your exercise book? It's important we know what a food chain is before we look into specific food chains. |
|
Need something extra? |
I've been watching quite a few films recently and I wonder if you have too? If you have maybe you could have a go at recreating some of the scenes from the film either with yourself and family members or use toys for each character. Let's have a timestable rockstars competition! Girls vs Boys!

Don't forget to send me any work you would like me to see!
Stay safe and look after each other!
