Harvest and fruit and vegetables!
Class one created a harvest themed tray using lots of materials and resources. They recreated the jobs that farmers do at harvest time. They also talk about fruit and vegetables, growing, planting and farm machinery! There was so much creativity and imagination happening during play! Well done…
Harvest Crowns
In Class 2 this week we have been looking at Autumn poetry in English and learning about Harvest in RE. This afternoon we combined our learning and made Harvest crowns.
Phonics fun
We have loved having a go at our phonics board game. We roll the dice and where we land, we read the word or sound. It’s lots of fun and gives us lots of chance to practice our sounds!
Amazing Descriptive Writing
Class 4 have been writing descriptions about elephants. They were then able to publish their work and present it in a creative way. I think the work that they have produced is great! ????????????

Wedgwood Inspired Designs
In art today our Year 2 children are designing their own pottery based on the work of Josiah Wedgwood.
Walter Tull
In history, we have been looking at a range of sources to find out about a World War 1 soldier called Walter Tull. We found out that he was the first black officer in the British army. We also found out that he was one of the first black professional footballers in Britain.
Conker hammering!
We have been using hammers and tweezers to remove conkers from their shells. What a super way to build out fine motor skills and arm strength!
Active phonics!
Today reception sounded and blended cc’d words and then found the matching picture. This was a great way to get some exercise and practice our blending skills!
Continuous Provision
Our Year 1 children are accessing our continuous provision and independently comparing numbers within 20.
Negative Numbers
We have been learning about negative numbers this week in class 4. We enjoyed using the outside space and ordering ourselves in a human number line.
