Image of Mr Wynn's school update

It has been a great first week back here at St Mary's. The children have settled into their new classes brilliantly and it has been so nice to see them all again. This week we have all worked on our outdoor area. We have weeded the beds, tidied the polytunnel and spread our new soil to enrich the allotment. Classes have had lots of fun with weird and wonderful fruit and vegetables too!

Thank you to PTA for purchasing this soil for us!

Our new staff have enjoyed their first week. Mrs Stretton, Miss Lukat and Mrs Gully have all really enjoyed themselves and getting to know our wonderful school. It was also great to see Reverend Anne again on Wednesday as we all watched our MAT act of Worship led by Mrs Gethin.

You have probably all seen the scaffolding around school. We are having a new flat roof as it has leaked over the years. The builders are nearly finished and it is looking great.

Respect

Our value for this half term is Respect. We have already discussed it's meaning and how we can show respect for each other and our school.

Next week.....

Next week our Class 4 children are all out on residential so school will be a lot quieter.

All the children have settled into routines but please help them to remember their pencil cases and ensure they have their wellies in school so we can spend lots of time outside, A red and purple pen would be really useful if possible. Spellings will be up and running soon with key stage 2 using a new exciting scheme called SpellingShed. More details will be available soon including a login for your child.

You asked We did...

Finally you should have recieved a message about our maths at St Mary's. There are links to some online resources you can access at home if you would like to support your child further.

We have all flown like eagles this week!

But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.  (Isaiah 40 v 31)
