Hello Class 3!

Well we're at the end of another week and you are all doing so well! I hope you're enjoying the work I am setting and enjoying being at home with your families! How lucky are we with the weather too!?

I've just stood on my doorstep clapping for the NHS - did you do it too?

Here's Friday's work for you :)

Start the day with something active like Joe Wicks at 9am!

Please complete the Friday Challenge! There is so guidance suggesting that challenges 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be most suitable for year 3 but you could have a go at some of the others with your family.

English

Today's poem is called "When Daddy Fell into the Pond" - you can find it on this website https://allpoetry.com/Daddy-Fell-into-the-Pond

The below video is by Michael Rossen and is all about the best techniques to use to perform a poem.

For an extra challenge why don't you write and perform your own poem! It could be about your week or about being stuck at home!

Reading

Complete a book review for the story "Sword in the Stone". You could also create your own front cover for the story.

Class 3 Reading 24-04

Don't forget to read the books you have at home and get your parents to ask you questions based on what you have read.

David Walliams is also uploading a story each day on his website that you could listen to. https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses/

Topic

Geography - Towns and Cities.

You should have found out the capital cities of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and chosen one to research.

Today I'd like you to choose one of the other capital cities to research and present. You could even decide which city you would prefer to visit!

Need something extra?

Please go onto https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/Support-tools/home-activity-worksheets/5-7s/ and complete the activities for the 3 sessions. This is really important work about internet safety.

Here's Friday's journalling sheet for you to complete.

Class 3 Journalling 3

Keep safe.
