Below is Jack and the Beanstalk. There is a text, questions and then answers. There is 3 copies of the text at different ability levels. You will see stars in the corner of the page which indicates the level. Please pick a level that you think is appropriate for your child. |
There are two texts to read (below). Both are taken from past Key Stage 1 SATs papers. Dora the Storer is a story with questions at the end. Lunchbox (children have seen before) is a non-fiction text with questions after each chunk of text.
Encourage children to read back through the text, underline information if they can and work through any tricky words together. |

Year 1 Use words ending in ‘ing’ to write sentences about what you can see in the picture. E.g. He is running away. The chubby man is hopping on his bicycle. |
Year 2 Write sentences about the picture using words ending in the suffix ‘ly’. The referee is blowing his whistle loudly and holding a red card.
