Hi Class 4,
Wow another weekend has flown by and we are back to Monday. I hope that you had a good time celebrating VE day on Friday. We both did. It was a great day considering all the sadness that is happening at the moment.
Well done to those children who are managing to send us work each week, we have been really impressed with what we have seen! Please continue to do this and if you haven't managed to send us some of you work or a photograph of something that you have been up to then please have a try this week. It literally makes my week hearing from you and knowing you are okay. Looking forward to chatting with the Year 6 children on Wednesday. All those of you who are intending to join us will need a square piece of paper (coloured or white) and some scissors. We will be having a go at some simple Origami.
Try to remember to keep active if you can and remember 2 hours of work a day is plenty.
Stay safe.
Miss Davis and Mr Wynn

Today you are going to try to plan a poem about a predator luring in it's prey like in 'The Spider and the Fly' that we read last week. I would like you to try to think of your own animals that you would like you poem to be about, for example lion and antelope or bird and worm. I would like you poem to be at least 4 verses long and each verse should have at least 4 lines in it. Try to think carefully about the rhyming pattern that you intend to use in your poem. A poem flows much better if you use the same rhyming pattern throughout a poem. You could for example have the following lines rhyming: Lines 1 and 2, 3 and 4 or Lines 1 and 3 2 and 4.
Also when planning your poem I would like to see you trying to figuartive language that we learnt about on Wednesday. It would be great to see some alliteration, similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia and personification in your poems. I have created you a planning sheet for you to plan out your poems on.
