Hi Class 4,

We hope you have had a great half term and relaxed in this beautiful sunshine! Today marks the start of things being a bit different for us all as from today we are at school with Year 6. We will be covering very similar to work to what is set here but will be back in our little school - all be it looking quite a bit different and containing a lot less children. Hopefully we are on the journey of having you all back in school soon.

Please note that work will now be set on Monday's and Wednesday's only but will still be enough to cover the working week for those at home.

Please remember that 2 hours of work a day is plenty.

Topic

History: This half term we will be looking at Crime and Punishment throughout History. There were many different forms of crime and punishment over time. Your challenge is to use the sheets provided to match the crime to the punishment and historical period. Please cut out the crimes and punishments on page 4 below and stick them in the correct place on Page 3 before completing the paragraph.  If you cannot print these out why not sketch each one or fill in the table I have created in the Google Classroom.

Guided Reading

For Guided Reading this half term we will be using Google Classroom and the online text Treasure Island. This can be found on the following link:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/english-ks2-treasure-island-1/zbqcbdm

Please listen to the episode and then complete your summary sheet in Google classroom.

* Don't forget that there are a number of Education City activities and games available to support your work this week. Please login and find them in your 'My City'. They will be linked to the topics we have chosen so will help you with your work. I will change these every Monday.
