Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of home schooling. I’m trying to make the work easier to access, so I’ll post the weekly activities in one post.

Topic:

This week’s topic will be Design and Technology. We will continue with the space theme and aim to make space buggies. Please keep hold of packaging for junk modelling.

1. Look at different vehicles (power point 1 attached). Then complete  worksheet 1 in your pack – features of vehicles

2. Look at the ways that wheels, axles and chassis are attached (power point 2 attached). Use junk modelling to try to make your own. Then complete worksheet 2.

3. Look at the way that vehicle bodies are made (power point 3 attached). Use junk modelling to try to make a body for the different vehicles. Then complete worksheet 3.

4. Design and make you own space buggy using junk modelling (power point 4 and worksheet 4). Make sure you send in lots of pictures so I can upload them onto the website!
