Good Morning Class 3!
Just a reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10am we are going to have a google meets chat. I will post the link and any instructions on google classroom. You don't need to prepare anything for this, it will just be a catch up so that we can see each other after such a long time!
Your work is below - remember to start your day actively! Joe Wicks is still doing live PE lessons every morning at 9am or you could go out for a walk or run with your family.
Remember, 2 hours of work a day is enough!

Well done for working hard on your recounts last week! This week I would like you to write a different type of recount. I would like you to write a newspaper article! Today, we will begin by working on what a newspaper article is and the success criteria and skills needed to write one! I would like you to begin by going onto https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z2yycdm/articles/z2gk9qt and watching the video then completing the activities focusing on the features of a newspaper article. Then I would like you to look at the powerpoint which will give you tips on writing a great newspaper article, then look at the example articles and see if you can identify the features of a great newspaper! You'll be doing a lot of reading in English today - I would like you to talk to your family about what you have read. See if you can retell the story in one of the newspaper article examples. When reading your books at home get your family to ask you questions based on what you have read. You could even read to your whole family making sure you show intonation and expression in your voice - make it a performance! |

Well done Year 3 you won last weeks battle on timestable rockstars! I am not setting a battle up this week but I would like to see that everyone has been on at some point during the week. It's going to be sunny again this week! Why not have a go at making some water art? All you need is a paint brush and a cup of water - you can paint on the bricks of your house or the patio and watch as your pictures disappear! |
