Class 1 Home Learning Timetable Monday 18th January

Good morning class one,

I hope you have had a lovely weekend. What did you get up to this weekend?

I hope you are ready for another week of online learning fun together with your friends!

Remember to send photos and videos using class dojo portfolio and Google classroom so that we can see how your learning has been going.

I am here to help so please let me know if you need anything.

Input 1: 9:30am-We would like to see everyone at 9:30am for this online session.

Mrs Coleman- Harris will lead this literacy session for all of Reception and Nursery together.

Today I am going to introduce our learning around the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Join me online at 9:30am to find out some more!

After our online session this morning can you sequence the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and verbally retell the story?

You can either print off some pictures to cut and sequence from the files at the end of the blog or you could create your own story map to show what happened in sequence. There are some examples below. When you have sequenced the pictures or created your story map, can you retell the story in as much detail as possible? Can you use story language and repeated phrases from the story? Here are some ideas.

Once upon a time.... It was too hard. It was too soft. It was just right! Who has been sitting in my chair?  They lived happily.....

You may like to video your retell and send it to me on dojo portfolio or Google Classroom. We would love to hear your retell of the story!

Reception can you also work on your writing skills by labelling some of the characters on your pictures or map. Write some phrases or sentences for example; She sat on it. She went to bed. He was mad. He was sad.

Remember to take some photos or a video of your learning and send it to us on Google classroom or dojo portfolio.

Reception can work through the White Rose Maths home learning resources across the week here. You might like to work on one video a day. These mini video lessons support and help the Reception children to develop all of the maths we have been learning in class. Please follow what we are learning in the online sessions and the sessions on the white rose maths page for reception. These sessions are building on the children's previous learning and helping them to develop a deeper understanding of maths. https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/early-years/alive-in-5-week-3/
