Image of The parable of the lost sheep!

Today in RE we started learning around the theme, “We are all special, unique and important.” We discussed how we are all unique and special. We discussed how a long time ago the Pharisees didn’t like that Jesus was friends with people who were different.  Class one disagreed with this and commented “we should be friends with everyone.” “We show respect to everyone.” Then we watched and discussed the parable of the Lost Sheep. “He should have stayed with the shepherd.” “If he talks to God he will help.” “He is sad because he is lost.” “The sheep is scared and frightened.” “The shepherd is worried.” We talked about times we have lost things and what we would do if we lost someone or lost a toy.  “We have to find it before someone else does and they might not look after it.” We discussed the important messages from the parable. “God and Jesus look after everyone.” “We need to show respect.” “I would look for the sheep if it was lost. You have to look after it. It will need help.” There was some super discussion around the parable today. Then we created our own artwork to retell the parable and to share the important messages.
