Next half term our theme is 'Summer Fun has Begun!
The first week back we will be learning about the Queen and her jubilee. Please send in lots of photos to share with us and show us how you celebrated over the jubilee weekend!
This half term we will also learn about holidays, summer, mini beasts, hot places, under the sea and so much more!
Reception will continue to develop their phonics skills through term 3 monster phonics. We will consolidate our learning so far and learn how to read words with four and five sounds and also polysyllabic words! They will continue to build their maths understanding and consolidate their skills with using numbers up to 10. In PSED we will learn more about our families, ourselves, our body, hygiene, caring for ourselves and challenge gender stereotypes. In RE we will learn about 'What makes every person special, unique and important?'
Nursery will continue to consolidate and develop their skills further in the prime areas of learning with support and guidance from the adults in class one.
There will continue to be lots of super child led learning through play throughout the day for everyone. Learning through play is what we do best!
We will also hold our annual sports day next half term and be preparing for this! Dance and drama will continue to be on a Thursday afternoon where we have so much fun learning new songs, dances and performing as a team!
