Class 2

Today we made African animal art by painting animal prints onto the background of our paper and then adding the silhouette of the animal on top.

This week Year 1 have been learning the Angry Red A sound spelt using 'ai'

This week Class 2 have been baking biscuits with Mrs Gulley, for Little Red Riding Hood to take Grandma. Tomorrow we will write instructions to make the biscuits we have baked.

Today Year 2 have been representing numbers to 100 by counting in tens and ones using a tens frame.

In English we have been learning about the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Today we walked through the woods thinking about adjectives to describe what we could hear, see, smell, taste and feel.

This week we have been learning about shapes. We learnt the names of shapes and sorted them according to their properties.

Today Class 2 talked about International Happiness Day and all things that make them happy!

Then we got into some leaf bashing - Hapa-zome.

The children of Class 2 taught us how to stay safe and deal with emergencies through their wonderful drama performance today. 

We've been challenged to measure the playgound using 1 metre ruler, chalk and string.

Year 1 have been weighing using balance scales this week.
