Parents - Here's some useful ways to support your child to understand the current situation https://helpingkids.co.uk/helping-kids-understand-the-coronavirus/

For this week's home learning we would like you to undertake the following;

Start your day with Joe Wicks’ 9am PE lesson

Year 3:

Year 4:

Friday

English:

Use the work on using conjunctions to write about your week. This could be a story, a diary entry or a letter. Focus on including conjunctions for different purposes but don’t forget capital letters, full stops, adjectives and adverbs.

Use the work you have done on direct speech this week to write out a conversation you have had this week or make one up.

You could write this as you would find it in a story including description about the setting and characters.

Science

Topic work for this week will be Science based.

Please log onto https://ec1.educationcity.com/ and look at 'my city'. There you will find learning screens and activities to complete.

You could also investigate' what helps plants grow best' by growing some plants in various locations around your house.

Or in the same place with different levels of water.

Reading this week

Listen to this story on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVXKS-iL-ZcThis story has been written and read by my friend all about why it is important not to buy too much at the supermarket at the moment and why it is important to look after one another. Once you have listened to the story you could draw a picture illustrating part of the story or make the story into the book. You could email any work you do on this and I will send it over to the author!

Don’t forget Audible is free at the moment – make use of it whilst you can and listen to a book you wouldn’t usually pick!

Need more to do?

Get yourself outdoors like we try to do at school.

Why don’t you help your parents with some gardening or read your book outside.

You could do some bird watching and see how many different birds are living in your garden!

* Don't forget that there are a number of Education City activities and games available to support your work this week. Please login and find them in your 'My City'. They will be linked to the topics we have chosen so will help you with your work. We will update these every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for you.

Good Luck everyone and stay safe!
