Image of Class 4 School Closure Work- Monday 30th March

Monday 30th March 2020:

Hi Class 4,

I hope that you have all had a good weekend and have managed to get outside in the beautiful sunshine. We have being keeping ourselves busy by cleaning the car (not that Flynn helped much), taking our dog for some long walks and building some interesting Lego creations. Why not have a go at the 30 day challenge that I have shown above. Flynn and I have been doing this each day and have had lots of fun doing it.

We have been so pleased to see some of you taking part in the Joe Wicks' work-outs, we have enjoyed starting our day off by being active.  The pictures that you have been adding to the 'School Closure Gallery' have really impressed me I am so proud to be working with such creative, hard-working and enthusiastic children. I check the gallery every day- so would love to see more of what you are up to.

We have set some more work for the next couple of days and have updated the Education City.

Good Luck with this, please take care and keep safe.

Miss Davis and Mr Wynn x

Re-watch the clip about Spy Fox. https://www.literacyshed.com/spyfox.html

I would like you to plan the next mission of the Spy Fox. Where will his adventures take him next. I would like you to plan the next chapter of this story in whichever fashion you would like such as : pictures, table, story map or words.

When you plan the story I would like you to try to use this format:

-Opening (using either action, dialogue, description)

-Introduce the character

-Describe the setting

-Build-up to problem

-Problem (exciting parts)

- Resolution

-Ending ( Maybe try a shock ending)

I look forward to seeing some of your plans, once they are finished.

Weekly topic

Art

To continue our work on The Vikings we were going to look at the Norse God Odin. Odin is associated with many things including wisdom, healing, knowledge, war, battle and sorcery. It is also believed he only had one eye. Have a go at sketching out the most realistic eye you can. This link will give you some ideas.

https://thevirtualinstructor.com/how-to-draw-a-realistic-eye-with-charcoal.html

It would be great if you could send some back to put on the website. If you are confident why not replace the pupil with images that represent Odin or things he might have seen?

* Don't forget that there are a number of Education City activities and games available to support your work this week. Please login and find them in your 'My City'.
